I love finding new (or at least new to me) pattern designers! I just discovered Gracious Threads and I must say I am delighted.
The first pattern I tried was the Glacier Vest.
Little Miss loves the faux fur exterior and the warm flannel lining.
I used a toggle button closure but the ribbon tie closure instructions are also included. Working with faux fur can be a tad tricky so tips are included in the instructions.
The pattern comes in sizes 2- 12 and includes computer drawn, printable no-trim pattern pieces. The pattern also includes layers so that you can print only the size you need.

The next pattern I sewed up was the Eclair Blouse.
This blouse was so simple to sew and the results are adorable! The exposed zipper is very trendy at the moment.
Little Miss wore her blouse to preschool and all the kids (and teachers) couldn't stop talking about her "Bernstein Bears" shirt. Not only is the zipper an absolutely adorable feature it is functional and includes a zipper guard. The other adorable features include side vents, a curved hem, and
small cap sleeves.
This pattern is listed as intermediate, however, a video tutorial is provided to help with the trickier steps.
As with the glacier vest, the pattern comes in sizes 2- 12 and includes computer drawn, printable no-trim pattern pieces. The pattern also includes layers so that you can print only the size you need. Gracious Threads will be holding a blog tour soon! Check back in November for more details.
